She's here....Miss Lily

The day is finally here...I've been waiting and waiting and waiting. But now the fun begins. Today at noon Mary, my daughter, Alex my grandson and I went and picked out and brought our newest family member home....Here she is
Here she is eating laying down.....

Taking a little rest after playing. Bob the cat in the background is not impressed.
I'm now in my stamp room working on Christmas cards and Lily is sleeping on her baby blanket.

Happy Thanksgiving and Black Friday

Hi All.................

This is a very busy time....wheeewwww!!! Alex, my grandson just left. I watched him today so his Mommy could go shopping. And look what she bought for the people on my Christmas list.
So while Mary was busy at the stores I was busy off and on in my stamping room working on a project for my daughter Theresa.Thank you Tami Ackerson for the idea. I made it into an ornament with a pocket in the back so lottery tickets will slip in the back.

Now with those done I can concentrate on getting ready for my workshop on Tuesday. What to do. I'm so ready to work on something other than Christmas cards but wait.....I haven't finished making my Christmas cards. I'd better get busy time is running out. So until next time....Happy stamping.......Dianne

I'm Home!!!

I'm finally home. Now to catch up on all the things that I need to do.....But where do I start. Laundry...cleaning.....inside or out...such decisions?????
Anyway one thing I do want to do is get ready for this months 3rd Tuesday of the month card class..
It is November 16th at 1:30 pm and 6:30 pm. Just RSVP by Monday morning, Nov.15th if you plan to attend. This is one of the projects we will be doing. I saw this on the table of samples at Ronda's last scrapbook weekend and I loved it. So I coped it and now you can make it at class. It's a cute Thanksgiving basket.
Well I think while the laundry is in the washer I get outside and do some work in one of the flower beds.
Till the next post...............HAPPY STAMPING................Dianne

Hello from Yellowstone National Park

What a wonderous sight to see. Yellowstone in the fall. The wildlife is abundant, the weather cool but not too cold and there are just a handful of guests in the park. We started out this morning about 8am and returned this afternoon around 4 pm. We had packed a picnic lunch but because of the scattered showers we parked facing a grassy meadow along side a river and had lunch in the van. How relaxing and beautiful.
We then headed for the mammoth springs area in the northern part of the park. The rain turned to rain and snow mixed and before we returned later in the afternoon it was all snow at the higher elevations.
This bull elk and several others have moved into town and are grazing and resting since the visitor numbers are very low right now. How exciting to see these awsome wild animals so close up and free to roam where ever they please without being afraid.

Tomorrow we head on to start another adventure driving through Idaho and Utah I think....Until my next post......keep stamping.......Dianne

Yellowstone bound

Yes, I said Yellowstone bound. Ater scrapbook weekend and casino Sunday and Monday and doctors appointments with my Dad and grandson, Alex Tuesday, a 2hour nap,got up packed and went to the cabin. After a short nights sleep, up and on the road toward the Mackinaw bridge. Wow was it windy. Headed west along US 2 toward Wisconsin. Stopped along Lake Michigan and took a picture. The winds were so strong,  I have sand in my jacket pockets and in my shoes and I was standing in the parking lot.
Some of the waves you could have surfed on. The pictures don't really show how strong the winds were. It actually was pushing me back toward the van and the sand was stinging my face as I was taking the pics.
We are now in Jamestown,ND staying for the evening. We will be heading toward Montana tomorrow along I-94.
So until the next post......stamp stamp stamp.  I didn't even have time to bring along
my Christmas cards to work on....I am missing it already.

I'm Home and Finally Back to the Blog

Hi all. I'm back from vacation and getting things caught up...Now I need another vacation.
The cruise was very nice. The weather was beautiful and most of all I got to spend many many hours with my daughter Theresa, son-in-law Aaron, grand daughter Emma and Aaron's mom and my friend LuAnn. We had some great adventures, including being late back to the ship in Cozemel. The ships horn had been blowing a few times before we all were safely aboard. Whew......what a workout getting back to the ship.

Tuesday was my Deck the Halls Christmas card class. We had a wonderful time and the cards all turned out beautiful.
My next class is Tuesday, October 19th. It's my regular 3rd Tuesday of the month card class. We will be making 4 cards/envelopes and a 3D project. Please RSVP by Monday if you want to attend. Class times are 1:30 and  6:30pm. Please bring your own scissors and adhesive.
Hope to hear from you and till the next post....happy stamping,
Dianne

Kind and wonderful friends

This has been a very challenging week. I just would like to thank everyone for their kind words of comfort, cards I received and  beautiful flowers I received from friends Margie and Lisa. And a big THANK-YOU to Brenda my BFF for all your support. Your hugs and keeping me company this past week. It's so hard lossing a wonderful friend after over 25 years of  friendship.  Tomorrow I will be leaving for a vacation with my daughter Theresa, her husband Aaron grand daughter Emma and Aaron's Mom, Luann. I'll be sure to send some pictures.
Check out the colors in the bouquet...daffodil delight, cajun craze, more mustard, pink pirouette and garden green. That may make a nice card color combo....What do you think?
Till my next posting...Happy stamping...Dianne

There's a chill in the air

Good morning everyone. Fall is certainly here. This is probably my favorite season. Yesterday Emma, my Grand daughter had spent the night. So yesterday we started changing the summer decorations and got out some of the fall decorations. Emma also helped me get dinner ready for the family and helped me with Alex, our Grandson. His Mommy and Daddy had gone to Horrock's for some fun shopping. I love that store. So after everyone left I thought about going to my stamping room but my chair was just to comfy.....So instead this is a picture of Emma in the pumpkin patch with Grandpa Will.

A place to find love and joy and over all warm feelings.

Yesterday I lost a VERY dear friend. She was only 63 years old. We both thought we had so much more time to enjoy each others friendship. But that wasn't to be. So on this very sad day I needed to find a bit of comfort so instead of the dishes and the laundry and the daily things we must attend to, it is this room my heart brought me to for comfort and love if only for a bit of time. Making a card or even looking at all the beautiful cards and scrapbook pages is helping. And from over my shoulder I heard my little Monty, he had come to help me today. Happy Stamping.....Dianne

Home from vacation

Last night was my 3rd Tuesday of the month class. We had such a great time. Hot, hot out in the sunroom where I have class but we where doing fine until what seemed like thousands of tiny little flying bugs invaded our stamping space. They were so little they must have come through the screens. So we were down to the ceiling light and fan as not to attract more pesty pests. Luckily were were nearing the end of class and this was our 3D project. With the dimmed lighting, the flying bugs, how appropriate for this to be the final project. What do you think?
Next Tuesday at 4:00 I have a color charts and inventory sheet class scheduled. We will have pages for each color collection. A space for a card stock sample, marker color sample and stamp pad color sample. Let me know if you'd like to join us and make this great tool to help keep track of your stampin' up color collections.
Cost is $5.00. Please RSVP by email  or call me by Monday, Sept 27.
Until the next posting....Happy stamping,
Dianne..... and remember.....P.S.(need a reason to smile???  Make a card today)

Rainy vacation day

It started raining yesterday late and rained throughout the night and off and on till about 5 pm. So I got out my two bags of stampin stuff and started stamping away. I so miss my stamping room. I have things set up so I can reach for this and that. My table was a mess and I couldn't find a thing. I did 24 Christmas to: and from: tags using the Jolly Bingo Bits stamp set. Once I finish them I'll add a pic. The internet is too slow to add a pic today.
Until I blog again....Happy stamping...Dianne

2nd Day of Vacation

I'm going to try again to upload a pic, if it doesn't work....down to mcDonald's I'll go and try from there.
Partly cloudy, a little chill in the air and pretty windy. But what a beautiful view I have as I write this. Sitting at the table and looking out at the lake. What more could I ask for?
I want to dig into my stamping stuff today....I'm getting the ichy feeling from being away from my stamin' room too long....
Yeah....it worked today....Until next time......Happy stamping....Dianne

What to do?

I was so good and only brought two lg bags the SU products to entertain me when Will is fishing....or there's the beautiful lake to sit by.....what should I do....then there's my viking novel I've been reading forever that I'd like to finish....tried to add a pic but at this location (I think) it didn't work. I think I'll enjoy the lake, and read today. Maybe tonight I'll haul out my stamping stuff and get busy with that.
Until later......Happy Stamping...Dianne

Getting Easier

Good morning everyone. Another lesson from my BFF Brenda on blogging and here I go posting another blog. I have been busy getting ready for a little vacation with my one and only and I can't wait. But that's another story completely. So on with the stampn' news. I have been scurring around like a squirrel gathering nuts to make away from home project kits for myself. I can't be away from stamping too long before I break out in a sweat and think....where has all the happiness gone??? So needless to say I will again have too many bags and boxes to pack for vacation and I can just hear it now....."We're only going away for a week dear...not all fall!!!! Oh well, some things just never change, just the things I pack in my bags. Here's my card for the day.  I created this one for the RubberQueen meeting this month. Hope you like it. I'll be back soon and until then, Happy Stamping
